Worker Safety Representative (RLS) and Refresher Training

The Worker Safety Representative (RLS) must receive health and safety training in order to provide the proper knowledge of the workplace risks within the area he or she represents, as well as of the control and prevention of those risks and of health and safety legislation.

The course lasts 32 hours.

The refresher training is annual and lasts 4 hours for companies with 15 to 50 workers, while for companies employing more than 50 workers the duration increases to 8 hours.

The refresher training must be repeated periodically in relation to the evolution and emergence of new risks.
